How to take care of moths?

i found a giant moth and it's left wing was really damaged and so I put it in a container and I left the room for a few seconds came back and saw a bunch of little white egg looking things so I'm assuming it just laid eggs, I brought down an old 10 or 15 gallon fish tank. How should I make the habitat for the moth and it's eggs? thanks
