Please correct! thank you so much.?
I am excited to start my first undergraduate year at UCSD where I hope to develop lifelong intellectual and personal growth. Knowing this program brings together students with a wide range of ethnicities, interests, background and ages, I am aware that potential social justice issues will challenge my openness to communicate responsibly and effectively with others. Despite being Vietnamese and attending a high school that is dominantly Hispanics, I still strive to integrate myself socially by joining Key Club and attaining a leadership position as Treasurer of Student Run L.A. as a treasurer, where I executed responsibilities that helped me emphasize my significance regardless of where I came from. Also, participating in community service events helped me gain a better understanding of relationships between the people in a diverse community. My experiences helped shape a sense of identity and I look forward to use them to make UCSD a diversified campus environment where people can feel socially satisfied and comfortable. I hope to help fellow students address their problems and match them with the resources they need, opening doors of access for everyone. Additionally, I want to expand my leadership skills by getting more involved with campus activities, starting with OASIS Transition Program. Ultimately, I believe that the program will make my first year memorable and enjoyable, while training me to be a positive influence to other students by helping them gain the opportunity to apply what they’re learning in class and participate in the life of the local community.
