Losing weight but not seeing any great differences?? how long should it take?

Hey, ok so i started to lose weight around 2/3 moths ago and I began quite fast (running 30 mins a day on the Wii) then my friend gave me a 7-day gym pass i jused 3 times a week and after that ran out i did a little running everyday on the paths. I have been measuring myself and I cant be sure right at this minute how much i have lost but i would say around a stone maybe? i was around 14stone when i began and I am now just under 13stone. (anyone who is familiar with wii fit- i am still in the "at risk of overweight" I have seen no difference exept i can run a little further but no appaerance or clothing change. In fact my stomach look as if to have gotten a little bigger? but i havent done anything but lose the weight? It looks particulaly large after I have eaten (even something tiny) I understand i wont be seeing any changes yet but how long do you think it will take? and what should i be looking for. also why does my stomach look bloated some times? sorry if i sound a little stupid for asking that. thanks :)

I am currently a Junior in high school. My ethnicity is Asian. (Idk if they still look at Asians as a minority from prevoius discussions.) My weighted GPA is 4.4706 and unweighted is 3.7647. I am sixteen years old and I got stretch marks a year ago. I have them on my arms, thighs, back of my knees, and alittle infront of my knees. Then last summer, I had fleas all over my house because of the dog and I have scars on my legs from scratching them. It keeps me doing alot of things that I want. Tearing holes in clothes?

2 yrs ago I noticed this problem.. my washer and dryer are only 3yrs old and a KENMORE. It's not happening to any of our jeans or my husbands cammies (military) Just ALL of our regular clothes, his, mine, our son, even our towels, sheets, etc. So I thought something was wrong with our washer or dryer, checked for anything sharp, had 2 different maintenance guys come look they both said there was nothing wrong with the washer or the dryer that they were in great condition. I am so sick and tired of having to replace clothes, I shouldn't have too.. Also I do my whites at the end of all the laundry (so it's not any left over bleach doing it, the tubs are dry for days before other clothes hit them) It's all shapes, colors happening to it. I hate going shopping now because I now that with a few washes there is going to be holes in it somewhere. I also was told maybe it was moths? But I have moved 3 times in the last 3 years.. So I don't see how that can be. I keep my house incredibly clean. So I find it hard to believe bugs are the problem but who knows.. Any have any ideas what it could be??

Question about gaining acceptance into a school?

Well, I'll be shocked if anyone actually answers this. Either way, here it goes, I guess. I've loved music, every aspect of music whether it's theory or history since I was younger. I'm going to be in 9th grade in the Fall. There's this school, for liberal arts. My parents said I could apply when the auditions for the fall-spring semester started. My mom is even going to get a letter of recommendation from the treasurer of state. I've been really excited and been checking their website every day. lol All in all, I'm pretty obsessed with this school. I drool over all of the music classes. I have a feeling I would absolutely love it. But,last year I transferred from one school into a charter school. Basically, I slacked off completely. I regret it so much. I wish I could go back and make myself do all the work and do MY BEST. But, I can't. I never officially passed 7th grade. The thing is, I went back to a regular school and they let me into 8th grade. My first interview went really well, and I have a second interview with the General Manager, who is a woman. Why is my girlfriend beating herself up?

Moths aren't attracted to light like most people think. Before humans had made fire and electricity moths used to navigate by using the light from the moon. They can only do this because the moon is so far away. For example if you wanted to head at night time just keep the moon on your right (the north) side. If you watch a moth closely you will discover that they do not fly straight but are flying curved. This is because they are trying to do that but on a match closer light. You can try it yourself, keep a street light or another source of light somewhere between your right hand side and in front of you and you will soon find yourself in a death spiral. I know my math one isn't too hot. To the person who says apply to Harvard...you've got to be kidding right? Kids with better credentials get rejected more than all the time. You have a great resume, I would suggest pulling your GPA up but everything else is very qualifying. To answer your question, you do have a good chance of good colleges but other things come into place when you apply to certain schools like your location. Also, what types of schools your going to apply to (i.e. private or public). Some of the schools I'm applying to include: Boston College, University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, Lehigh University, University of Virginia, Clemson, UNC- Chapel Hill, etc. Maybe you should look into some of those! Good luck and don't worry about if you'll get into a good college you'll be fine.

I just recently finished my college application process so I have a fair amount of knowledge about what you are getting in to. I'm just about positive you will be accepted into all of your backups and Davis, Cal Poly and Irvine. They are all good schools and with your scores and GPA you will be accepted. UC San Diego is a toss up just because they are extremely impacted and a lot of kids want to go to San Diego. Berkeley and UCLA will be tough. I know of people with very good resumes and they were denied. In recent years, there have been record numbers of applicants applying to 4 year universities because a degree has become essential for a good career. So, I think that you have a chance of being accepted into UCLA and Berkeley, but that there is also a chance you will be denied. It is a toss up. Regardless, with your test scores and GPA, you will be accepted into the rest of the schools and have many great options. To strengthen your chances of being accepted, write GREAT personal statements. Your essays are what set you a part from the rest of the applicants. Many kids do not take the application essays seriously, but having been through the process, I strongly encourage you to dedicate enough time to write meaningful statements. Ask your family, friends and teachers to read and correct your essays to ensure you are putting your best foot forward.

Help Identifying a fuzzy caterpillar that is yellow with black tufts down back?

You're going to have to kick butt in your next two years and have an amazing ACT. If you don't have a 32 then you really should reconsider applying. They only accept the top applicants and your application has to really stand out. If you have Honors and AP classes offered to you then definitely take them. If not, take community college courses or see if you can take AP classes online. The kids who apply to Vandy have taken AP or IB courses with a 35 or 36 ACT.

You have a lot more of a chance than most kids and it's great that your thinking about it now but a 3.7 GPA actually won't kill you if your taking rigorous classes or not. I'd suggest cramming for SAT prep and possibly getting college credit, it's big favor with the Ivy League and can cut your freshman workload in half. But honestly there's no way of accurately predicting whether or not you'll pass or fail. Sometimes people with amazing GPA's and stellar SAT scores get rejected while a kid with average grades and a low SAT score gets accepted. It depends on a multitude of things. What type on insect bit me? spider?

I live in flagstaff, AZ. I know there is a pretty big spider population up here, and minimal amounts of any other insect, besides moths, and a few big black ants. Yesterday I noticed a spot on the inside of my left knee was itching mildly, but I didn't think anything of it. It eventually went away, and I never noticed anything through my jeans. But today, I was wearing shorts, and I found myself subconsciously scratching the place again, and when I looked at it, I noticed 3 dark pink dots in the shape of a squished triangle, together no bigger than a nickle. The bumps are barely raised, they are rather puffy from being scratched so much, and one has a bit of a businesslike red streak on it. It hurts to the touch, not like a bruise, but more like a cut. Ok firstly in July I will have had my period 2 years and for the most part it was regular. Like 2-3 months ago I was riding a dirtbike and had to bail because the throttle stuck. Well you'll be a very good applicant for both UCLA and UCSD, you'll probably get into UCSD, its a little easier to get into(but really competitive still) and with your stats, I would say you'll get in. UCLA on the other hand is harder to get into but you seem like you could get in, although really with both of these universities your more than qualified although at the same time a lot of other people are too, so it can go either way there no definite here. Although what I can say for sure is that you'll without a doubt get into multiple of the other UCs, and you have a very good shot at UCLA and UCSD. With you SAT, if you can take it again in the fall although depending on the time when your submitting your application, you might not have your scores back/ready because the next test date is October 1st, I would say take it again see how you do,you aren't too far from a 2000.

I got into UC Santa Barbara, UC Irvine's Honors Program and UC Santa Cruz with a 4.1 weighted, probably about a 3.7 unweighted (not sure about the unweighted, actually), and high ACT scores from out of state. You will be able to get a better idea once you get your test scores back. I didn't apply to any others so I'm not sure if I would have gotten in. I'm guessing you can probably get into all of them except Berkeley and UCLA. You should go on visits to figure out which ones you like best because they all have very different cultures. You seems like a well-rounded student who does well in school but is also very involved so you should be fine as long as you did okay on your SAT and ACT.

Am I legally responsible for home owners association fees that occured before I bought my home?

My husband and I bought our first house in 2009 (in Florida) in a neighborhood that has a homeowners association. It was brought to our attention by the title search company that there was a lien on the house because of unpaid association dues, but we were told that it was paid at our closing. It is not 2011 and the new board of the homeowners association is going back through the records of the old management company (who has recently been terminated by the board) that date back to 2008. We received a letter in the mail saying that we owed $164.22 and that it was due in 30 days or the association would take legal action against us. So we contacted the association treasurer to find out why we had a balance because we knew that we had paid all of our dues. She stated that there were charges that were shown in her records that were outstanding back in 2008. We tried to explain to her that we hadn't bought the house until 2009 (which she tried to claim we had lived there since 2008) and that any charges due before our closing were paid by the responsible party (which would have been a bank because it was a foreclosure). We also told her that when we had spoken to the management company (before they were terminated by the new association board), that they had also told us that there was no outstanding balance. Are we legally responsible to pay this amount from 2008? Can the homeowners association come at us legally for charges that incurred before we owned the home? Who do we need to speak to or to get records that this was already paid? I've looked through our closing paperwork and all I have been able to find is a faxed invoice to the bank for the amount due. I don't think that we should be legally responsible for fees that incurred before we bought the house! Help please!

Should I leave my husband ?

He has severe Erectile dysfunction and won't do anything about it. He has smoked for 25 years and I am sure this is a major factor. I can't even get him to take a walk with me or exercise at all. What are my chances of getting into NYU?

Your ACT score may be on the low end, but your grades are great. It seems like you only gotten A's or higher in high school, and have done well with extra curriculars. I don't know much about NYU, but I do know about applying to college as I am a student at a Public-Ivy Institution. I would recommend taking the ACT one more time (it doesn't hurt, and you only send your best score anyways), secure some great letters of recommendations from teachers that know you best, fill out your application thoughtfully, and most importantly write why you want to go to NYU in your essays (don't say it's because it's a great school), give real reasons why your interested, what you want to pursue with your degree from NYU, and what you want to do as a profession/goal in life.Give examples of how you persevered during your lows and talk about the high moments as well(don't be afraid to brag, do it in a nice way tho :) ) The Personal statement helps the admission boards to know you better if NYU doesn't offer an interview. Can someone help me with some medical history.?

Hi i have a question regarding my husband, it all started about 4 months ago. He's been losing weight in the last 2.5 years he's lost about 40kg. But in the last 2 moths he's been having very lose bowel movement. He can go up to 10 times a night with a couple of days between. He's also suffering because everything we go to have sex he's unable to get it up and it is frustrating him. He's not bleeding when he goes to the toilet. Umm its not gastro we've ruled that out. Getting into UNC Chapel Hill?

I'm a junior in HS and I've got a 4.45 weighted GPA which is the average weighted GPA at UNC Chapel Hill. I will have completed 8 AP classes by the end of next year. I got a 2030 (1400 reading & math) on the SAT and a 30 on the ACT. I was on Varsity Cross Country as a Freshman and Sophomore (1 year captain), and I was on Varsity Track and Field as a Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior (I'll be doing track next year as well). I am in California Scholarship Fund and National Society of High School Scholars. Next year I will be doing Mock Trial and will also be a founding member of my school's Key Club and will be the Treasurer as well. I have 40 community service hours. I am an out of state student (California) and am listed as "Latino" (1/4 El Salvadorian). With 4-5 good letters of recommendation and a good essay do I have a good chance of getting into UNC Chapel Hill?

Shoulder bag!!! Would it look weird?

i don't think it would look weird. when i go on trips with my school i wear my normal school bag (shoulder bag) because my bag that goes across my body is too small. I think they're safer as well because its closer to you and harder to steal from. The bag going across the body can slip around and be behind you, where you cant see it. :)

I am excited to start my first undergraduate year at UCSD where I hope to develop lifelong intellectual and personal growth.
